Come celebrate Lumière’s 30th anniversary at Le BHV Marais. A special Window setting, designed by Ferruccio Laviani, will be on display until November, 2nd.
Foscarini is the lead actor in the new windows of LE BHV MARAIS, one of the most emblematic department stores in Paris, in a creative setting where wooden shapes in the background represent the path of Lumiere. The iconic table lamp designed by Rodolfo Dordoni turns 30 this year and celebrates this important goal with two brand new anniversary editions: Pastilles and Bulles.
Born in 1990, ever since its debut Lumiere has embodied the encounter between the design philosophy of Foscarini and the vision of Rodolfo Dordoni, in harmony between history and innovation, decoration, emotion and technical prowess.
In this table lamp that has become a design classic, the juxtaposition of glass and metal and the fluid, essential lines of the profile give rise to a unique, precious and familiar object, fascinating and domestic at the same time.
A timeless design, which is still surprising, and now defies time with a precious special edition.
In the Lumiere Pastilles version, the blowing of the incandescent paste inside a special diamond-pattern mould makes the surface three-dimensional, giving the glass a classic faceted appearance (known as “ballotton”), immediately perceptible to the touch.
Lumiere Bulles, on the other hand, is produced by using a mould with points to obtain a myriad of little air bubbles trapped between the glass layers of the diffuser. In both versions the base is in champagne-colour aluminium.
Come discover Lumiere 30th anniversary edition at Le BHV Marais, 52 Rue de Rivoli, until November, 2nd. Moreover, you’ll find the new entry in Foscarini collection: Sun – Light of Love, designed by Tord Boontjie.
