In his series “Lux Like” Federico Babina has had fun searching for and recognizing animals in the shapes of Foscarini’s lamps.
Lamps, brought into the streets of the world, become protagonists and witnesses of fragments of life.
Reaching the tenth issue is an important milestone for the bookzine, after being awarded with the Compasso d’Oro as an independent space for ideas, stimuli and curiosities.
Tracing back through the old gestures of photography, I also find myself inside this very handmade project.

Mite
Floor lamp with diffused and indirect light. This lamp guarantees excellent lighting, projecting an intense and warm beam towards the ceiling. Diffuser achieved using an craft-based process that entails the application of a Kevlar® thread for the yellow version and a carbon thread for the black version onto a glass fabric. Internal metal rod; the brushed steel upper parabola acts both to lock the diffuser onto the rod as well as a light reflector inside the diffuser. Nickel-plated steel base. The transparent cable is fitted with an original Foscarini dimmer which can be used both to adjust the level of luminous intensity gradually or as the ON/OFF switch.
