Foscarini joins 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen on September 16th – 18th with the Italian Embassy as location and Marc Sadler as special guest
Less than a week after Milan Design Week, Foscarini will take part in 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen. In recent years, the annual design event has become a relevant appointment in Europe, presenting a melting pot of Danish brands and international industry leaders within furniture, lightning, and interior design.
With previous participation in Stockholm Furniture Fair, Foscarini is already familiar with the Scandinavian design audience and now, the company strengthens the relationship when taking part in 3 Days of Design and the exhibition hosted by the Italian Embassy in Denmark. Here, in the elegant hall of the Residence of the Italian Ambassador, Foscarini presents two new models designed by Marc Sadler – the iconic Twiggy in the new Wood version and the Compasso d’Oro winning floor lamp Mite in the new Anniversario edition – besides the new collection Lumiere Nuances, the best-selling lamp designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in a new colour range.
The lamps will be staged in an installation of wooden structures conceptualised by Ferrucio Laviani, creating an atmosphere of beautiful contrasts and interaction between the sculptural Nordic wood and the ornamental golden ceilings of the room reminiscing the splendour of a Venetian palace.
In appreciation of the relationship between Italy and Denmark, two strong design nations, and to further celebrate the award-winning design by Marc Sadler, the designer himself will join Foscarini at the Embassy during 3 Days of Design, together with Carlo Urbinati, Foscarini President and Founder.
On Thursday 16th Marc Sadler will give a design speech as part of the official fair schedule, while on Friday 17th he takes on the role of introductory speaker to the international press tour alongside the Italian Ambassador.
