choosing the style of glass - between the
Gem, Gregg and Rituals families, the function
is identified according to the needs of the
environment, and then specified in various
colors according to taste and design style.
Lamps that already express their
strong personality individually, can now be
combined together to define and coordinate
the lighting of diverse environments.

The glass

Gem
Gem is a fluid vibration on glass, with three-dimensional facets inspired by the ripples produced when liquid is subjected to various sound waves. Its glass surface, realized with the artisan technique of blowing glass in a mould with an incised design, offers a sensation of material softness. A lamp to look at and caress, it seduces the viewer with flowing, intersecting lines playing games across its surface.

Gregg
In Gregg, character is derived from the form. An object that does not refer to pure geometry, it recalls natural inspirations such as a large pebble polished by water or the egg of a mythological animal. A pure volume, easy to read, yet surprising, obtained by blowing glass in a mould at a standstill. Its glass completely embraces the light source, guaranteeing an excellent diffusion of light in the environment.

Rituals
“Once the worker has taken the pea,
a pearshaped bolus, with his cane, the vitreous
paste is blown and adapted to the mould.
This process remains craft-based and little
can be done with machines. In the case of the
Rituals lamp by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba,
the blowing phase takes about three minutes
and the finishing about ten minutes. To obtain
the particular chalky finish which enhances
the irregularity of its lines and facets, the lamp
is wheel-ground on the outside and specifically
processed to avoid spots and obtain a uniform
distribution of the white. This method also
ensures glass to emit a warm tone similar
to that of rice paper and typical of Isamu
Noguchi’s lamps.”

THE FUNCTION
The lamps in the Mix&Match system are perfect both as individual pieces, adding character to a room, and together in compositions, coordinating the entire atmosphere within a space. The option to select each model in four different functions allows for exceptional versatility and makes it possible to sculpt space through light.
THE COLOR
Color sets the tone and enriches the environment. Foscarini offers a palette of three colors, always in a matte finish, which impart a distinct taste to each lamp. You can choose between the soft tone of a warm and deep gold, the colder and sophisticated feeling of graphite, or even white, a more neutral choice that integrates easily into any environment. If there are multiple lamps in the room, you can play with tone on tone even varying the type of glass.

Easily integrated, white allows glasses of various families, functions or dimensions to be combined, enhancing the diffusers through a discreet and unobtrusive color. Without imposing, it adapts to any type of furniture or wall color: tone on tone, or in contrast with bold saturated colors.
