This month the Foscarini quality system and its application in the company underwent the scheduled inspection for confirmation. The means and procedures that were monitored involved the entire company, and every phase in the development process of its models – from conception to sale – resulting in full approval of the Foscarini quality system.
Lighting design
Lighting design means the art and craft of creating the visual environment by means of illuminating it. There are two general fields of lighting design: Day lighting that means all measures that influence the input and use of natural daylight, be it the diffuse light off the clear or overcast sky or the directed light of the sun, into built spaces. Day lighting is influenced by the general structure of a building, the design of facades, windows and skylights, and can be further extended by the use of special devices for redirecting or transporting light. Electrical lighting covers all measures to illuminate spaces inside and outside of buildings with the help of technical light sources, either in combination with or in absence of natural daylight.
This month we will illustrate the Foscarini news features that appeared in some of the major international magazines: Uto, Havana Outdoor and Caboche reached the readers, primarily architects, of Archicrée in France and Architektur & Wohnen in Germany. Also in Germany, How to spend it – a supplement to the Financial Times Deutschland, dedicated a report to Patricia Urquiola and to Caboche. The same Caboche of which GQ highlights the more sensual aspects. We also wish to mention the Ukrainian Salon and Swiss Wohnrevue, which display Big Bang, and in the US, The New York Spaces with Caboche.
